Canadian courts face delays

The Canadian government has allocated $4.4 million for six new judges to address the increased workload on the court system, according to a report in the Feb. 12 Canadian Lawyer Magazine. Two of the six new judges are to be placed in Alberta and the remaining four will be in Quebec. However, some critics say that the funding is too little to prevent delays in the system.
