TechLinks: Routers, scams, and a review of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

TechLinks_logoNCRA’s Technology Committee rounded up a group of tech-related articles that offers news on tri-band routers, scams in the marketplace, and an upgrade for PDFs.

Technology Committee co-chair Robin Nodland, RDR, CRR, of Portland, Ore., pointed out a How-To Geek article that explains the difference between dual-band and tri-band routers and offers some advice on whether such a purchase will really make your WiFi faster.  Read more.

Christine Phipps, RPR, of West Palm Beach, Fla., reminded NCRA members to be alert to scams and referred people to two pages on the Federal Trade Commission website. The first is a great general source about current scams in the marketplace, and the second is a blog noting particular scams as they become known.

Dana Hayden, RMR, CRR, of Huntsville, Ark., offered a link to an April 23 review by PC Magazine of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, a new upgrade that comes with a Document Cloud online service to access all of your PDF files through Acrobat mobile apps or via a computer’s Web browser. Read more.
