Arbitration ground rules may change in California

The California State Senate has passed a pair of bills to make the binding, private arbitration process fairer for California workers and consumers by ensuring that they have access to a court reporter and cannot be forced by a corporation to travel out of state to resolve a dispute, according to an article posted May 12 by the Central Valley Business Times. The bills will be sent to the California Assembly for consideration.
