Phipps Reporting ranked in 2019 Inc. magazine 5000 for sixth consecutive year

In October, Phipps Reporting, based in West Palm Beach, Fla., was recognized at Inc. magazine’s annual event that showcases the fastest-growing private companies in America. Making the prestigious Inc. magazine 5000 list for the sixth consecutive year, Phipps Reporting was ranked #4,338 for 2019 with a three-year growth of 70 percent.

Phipps Reporting’s principals have been providing service to the legal community for more than 30 years. The firm delivers worldwide court reporting, videography, interpreting, and process services for clients that range from solo practitioners to Fortune 500 companies. The company has locations both internationally and across the United States and has an expansive network of more than 2,000 court reporters and 500 affiliate firms.

NCRA President-Elect Christine Phipps, RPR, and CEO of Phipps Reporting, credits her staff team and stenographers with the multiple Inc. magazine 5000 wins.

“Phipps Reporting is a dedicated team where the genuine care and service to our clients are our highest mission,” she said. The company was founded on a core value of people over profits.

“From freelancer to firm owner, I have spent my career competing with myself, setting small goals and achieving them, always focused on what I can control and what I can change. One of the core reasons I strive to figure out how I can substantially grow my firm and make it onto the list again each year is not for my own internal competitiveness but what it says about the possibilities for those with firms now and those yet to come, that you can compete in a marketplace with multifaceted business practices as a wholly owned stenographic-only firm and win,” Phipps added.

NCRA member Eric Allen, an official court reporter from New York, N.Y., shared his reaction to the news on Facebook: “Great things, Christine.  Not only is this an accomplishment for you and your company, this is monumental for the industry.  Having a court reporting company at this level – A REAL COURT REPORTING COMPANY – is a tremendous milestone for court reporting as a whole!  THANK YOU!!”

“The companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 have followed so many different paths to success,” said Inc. magazine editor in chief James Ledbetter. “There’s no single course you can follow or investment you can take that will guarantee this kind of spectacular growth. But what they have in common is persistence and seizing opportunities.” Additionally, only “a mere 3 percent of companies have made the list six times,” as Phipps Reporting has done, he added.

Not only have the companies on the 2019 Inc. magazine 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but the list as a whole shows staggering growth compared with prior lists.
