To all 2021 NCRA Conference & Expo attendees

We hope you had an amazing time at the 2021 NCRA Conference & Expo. The energy from all the attendees made this Conference one of the very best that we can collectively remember. While the Conference was a success, we all knew that there were many variables that we could not control, including travel, being in a casino hotel with thousands of people, and staying in a city of millions where exposures could happen at any time.

Unfortunately, we have just recently been informed that two people registered for the Conference have tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from their trips to Las Vegas. Of course, we cannot know if they got it before, during, or after their time in Las Vegas, or if they got it at a show, in the airport, at home, at the event, in an elevator, at a restaurant, and so on. These two people are the only cases that have been reported to us, but, out of an abundance of caution, we wanted to make sure you were aware of those reported incidents.

In these unfortunate times of the pandemic and now with the heightened concerns about the Delta variant, it is always important to monitor your own health, and if you don’t feel well, please consult your physician. For any individuals who may test positive or have symptoms of COVID-19, please review the recommendations we received from the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) at https://covid.southernnevadahealthdistrict.org/for-contacts/ as well as any similar advice offered by the CDC, your local health authority, or personal health care provider. Depending upon your circumstances, this may include monitoring your own health, being tested, self-quarantining, informing close contacts directly, and also letting appropriate health authorities know so that they may assist with contact tracing if they deem it appropriate to do so. If you are still in Las Vegas and want to get tested, we also were provided the following testing information by the SNHD at https://covid.southernnevadahealthdistrict.org/testing/

As you know, we made safety and health our top priority for our members and took the highest measures and precautions in accordance with all applicable guidelines. We have no way to know whether these two reported incidents had anything to do with our Conference, but we wanted all of our attendees to be aware of these reports.

Once again, thank you for attending this great Conference and it was wonderful to see you all. Take care.
