Help support the NCRF Career Launcher Student Grant program: Donate, volunteer, spread the word

The NCRF Career Launcher training program was created to serve as a bridge and provide tips of the trade for students and new professionals between graduation and their first job. Candidates who participate in the program, offered through the NCRA Learning Center, create a transcript, self-assess their transcript, and complete a five-question quiz.

In January 2022 NCRF began awarding grants that cover Career Launcher program fees for students. The first group of grant awardees was announced live via Facebook in January. Five to seven winners will be selected each quarter.

NCRF is currently requesting donations for the Career Launcher Student Grant. Donations to this campaign will help cover the costs of these grants. Donors who give $25 or more will receive a Career Launcher pin and know that they are helping to support this worthy cause. The cost for the student program is currently $100 for members and $175 for nonmembers. Click here to donate, or text the keyword CareerLauncher to 41444.

Students interested in applying for the grant must meet the following criteria: Affirm they are currently a court reporting student enrolled in a court reporting school and/or can provide verification that they have passed one skills test at 180 wpm or higher. Further information and an application form can be found here. Completed applications will be entered into a drawing to take place on April 15, 2022. Applications not drawn as winners will be included in future quarterly drawings.

The Career Launcher Student Grant is among the many National Court Reporters Foundation fundraising initiatives that help support students, new professionals, veterans, and others. NCRF supports the court reporting, captioning, and legal videography professions by raising funds throughout the year to offer programs that benefit the court reporting community.

NCRF has more than a dozen fundraisers, from the Angel Donor program and the NCRA A to Z® scholarship fund to many other grants and awards. See the list and please donate here.
