Mark Kislingbury breaks own record

Mark Kislingbury

On behalf of NCRA and its members, we want to congratulate Mark Kislingbury, FAPR, RDR, CRR, from Houston, Texas, on breaking his own Guinness World Record set in 2004 of 360 words per minute at 97.23 percent accuracy by writing for 370 words for one minute at 95.4 percent accuracy. Kislingbury, a multi-time NCRA realtime contest winner, achieved the record at Steno in the City’s Fearless Stenographers conference, hosted by Shaunise Day, in Houston on Fri., March 25, 2022. This is a shining example of the power of the human brain in hearing, processing, and executing. We are grateful for his advocacy as he continues to champion and showcase the accuracy and skill of stenographic court reporting and captioning.
