More live webinars coming in June

NCRA’s Professional Development department continues its 2022 program with three new exciting live webinars in June. Find out what “the cloud” really is, learn how to submit an ethics complaint, and get a lesson in promoting the profession. Registration is now open.

June 1 | What is the Cloud and Where Does it Live? | Presenter: Kenya Herring | (0.10 CEU)

IT specialist Kenya Herring rounds out her computer skills series by answering the key question: “What is the cloud?”

“Over the last couple of years,” says Herring, “many business companies decided to use more and more cloud services as part of their digital transformation. This training is an introductory level course for understanding the cloud technology concepts and gives a detailed introduction to the three largest cloud providers today.” Be sure to check out Herring’s previous webinars Make your Excel EXCELLENT! June 8 | How to Submit a COPE Complaint (Free webinar for NCRA members only)| Presenter: Dannielle Copeland, RDR, CRR  (No CEUs awarded)

Next up, the Committee on Professional Ethics (COPE) member Dannielle Copeland, RDR, CRR, will walk you through the formal procedures necessary when filing an ethics complaint to COPE. Whether your complaint is against an NCRA member or an advertiser, you will walk away knowing how to find and apply the information needed to ensure your complaint is submitted following the necessary guidelines to reach COPE for an evaluation and determination.

June 22 | Public Outreach Basics (Free webinar for NCRA members only) |Presenter: Anthony Frisolone, FAPR, RDR, CRR, CRC, CRI (No CEUs awarded)

Anthony Frisolone, FAPR, RDR, CRR, CRC, CRI, chair of the NCRA Public Relations/Outreach Task Force and co-chair of the Creative Content Committee, will guide attendees through the steps in getting the word out about the importance of stenography. “I am looking forward to bringing my experience and giving advice to the membership,” says Frisolone “as to how to create an effective message to better reach out to the public and spread the word about reporting and captioning.”
