NCRA’s Contests Committee is seeking volunteers to help with remote grading for the National Speed and Realtime Contests being held during the 2025 NCRA Conference & Expo happening July 24-26 at Hyatt Minneapolis in Minneapolis, Minn.
Remote graders are needed beginning the afternoon of July 23 through July 24. All contestant tests submitted after the contests will be graded in a first pass using a special software developed especially for NCRA by EV360.
Volunteer graders will then be assigned to review and verify second and third passes of qualifying tests. Volunteers who sign up to help grade can earn 0.25 Professional Development Credit (PDC*) for every two hours they assist, and they will have bragging rights about their roles in Association history.
Contest Committee Chair Allie Hall, RDR, CRR, CRI, will brief volunteer graders prior to the contests to ensure consistency in grading.
If you are an RMR, CRR, or CRC** looking for a challenge, this is the time to test your skills against your peers’ by signing up to compete in either or both contests. The NCRA Speed Contest starts at 9 a.m., Wed., July 23, followed by the NCRA Realtime Contest at 3 p.m. the same day.
Registration for both Contests close July 8 or when the quota of 35 registrants for a contest has been met, whichever comes first, and can be completed here.
Winners of the contests and top scorers in each leg of the competitions will receive recognition before their peers at a special awards luncheon on Saturday, July 26.

*PDCs are Professional Development Credits, a subset of Continuing Education Units, which can be applied to the overall CEU requirement for maintaining certification. PDCs may be granted for qualifying activities that do not include class time such as transcribing documents for the NCRF Oral Histories Project. Most individuals are limited to 1.0 PDC per cycle toward their continuing education requirements.
