Voting starts Monday for NCRA Vice Presidential Election

Check your inbox Monday morning when voting starts for NCRA Vice President. The online voting period starts Monday, June 23 at 9 a.m. Eastern and will remain open for 24 hours. Voting Members will cast their votes via secure online means. The following NCRA members have declared their candidacy.

Each candidate has submitted a biography, resumé, candidate questionnaire, and reference letters. Candidate brochures were also submitted and made newly available last week. These are available for review in the Election Center on the NCRA website.

Town Hall

The NCRA Election Committee has organized a Town Hall to assist members in making an informed decision in the upcoming election. Join NCRA and your colleagues on June 18 at 8 p.m. Eastern to hear from the Vice Presidential candidates for the 2025-2026 NCRA Board of Directors. Register now. If you are unable to attend the Town Hall live, you can access a recording of the event here beginning June 19.

Who can vote

Only Participating Members who are verbatim stenographic reporters and/or stenographic cap­tioners and Registered Members who are verbatim stenographic reporters and/or stenographic cap­tioners, as well as Retired Members and Retired Lifetime Members and Honorary Members who have been verbatim stenographic reporters and/or stenographic captioners shall be eligible to vote. Members may cast their votes via their phones, tablets, or computers.

Members will receive an email with election results shortly after voting closes on June 24. Results will also be posted on the Election Center, thejcr.com, and on social media.

If a vacancy occurs after the election has concluded, interested candidates will have 48 hours from the close of the initial election to declare their candidacy. The deadline to submit this declaration to elections@ncra.org is 9 a.m. Eastern June 26.
