A season of gratitude, growth, and giving

Doug Friend

By Doug Friend

This is truly my favorite time of year, when the temperatures cool, our nation unites to honor its veterans, and the spirit of the holidays begins to lift us all. As we look toward 2026, I am reminded how much the Foundation’s leaders and donors have contributed to making this year so remarkable. This newsletter offers just a glimpse of the impact you have helped create.

Here are just a few recent accomplishments we are especially proud of:

  1. The inaugural NCRF Linda Breech Memorial Advocacy Scholarship, honoring Linda’s legacy as a passionate legislative advocate for our profession. To highlight the importance of the the NCRA Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp, the Foundation hosted a Nov. 18 Ask Me Anything ZoomUp featuring panelists discussing the value of the event. As a longtime supporter, I was honored to participate as well.
  2. NCRF sponsored three Peer-to-Peer Support sessions, a meaningful initiative introduced by NCRA President Cindy Isaacsen, RPR, to uplift and encourage our colleagues, who have so much to share.
  3. Our 2025 scholarship offerings reached an all-time high, and 2026 will surpass even that. In the queue for 2026 are the NCRF Gina Battaglia Memorial Student Intern Scholarship, the new NCRF Kim Dore-Hackbarth Memorial Student Scholarship, and the NCRF AHRE Shine Student Scholarships, sponsored by our generous NCRF Angel, Allison Hall, RDR, CRR, CRI. We also expect to offer the generous Stenograph Milton H. Wright Memorial Scholarship again.

With so much meaningful content in this Angels Quarterly, I simply want to express my heartfelt thanks once more and invite you to read about all the work your generosity has made possible.

We are deeply proud of our progress and profoundly grateful for your continued support.
Wishing you a healthy, joyful, and memorable holiday season surrounded by those who matter most.
