The full agenda for the 2026 NCRA Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp, taking place March 1-3 in Alexandria, Va., and Washington, D.C., is now available. There are just a few weeks left to register before the deadline of Feb. 12!
Designed for court reporters, captioners, and legal videographers, this three-day event blends leadership development, advocacy training, and hands-on legislative experience to help members effectively represent the profession at both the state and federal levels.
Agenda highlights:
Discovering your leadership voice – Keynote speaker Jesse Walker of Intentional Leader Coaching will introduce attendees to the 5 Voices leadership framework, a practical tool for accelerating relationship-building, identifying leadership and lobbying growth areas, and learning how to quickly build trust and influence across different communication styles.
Mobilizing your membership: Using grassroots advocacy for maximum success Dave Wenhold, CAE, PLC, NCRA Executive Director; Cindy Isaacsen, RPR, NCRA President
This session focuses on incorporating grassroots advocacy into a state association’s overall strategy. Participants will learn how to build full-scale campaigns that activate members, strengthen messaging, and create meaningful legislative impact.
Understanding NCRA’s 2026 Legislation and mock U.S. Senate committee scenario Dave Wenhold, CAE, PLC, NCRA Executive Director; Colin Brehm, State Government Relations Manager
Prepare for Capitol Hill meetings by gaining a deeper understanding of NCRA’s 2026 legislative priorities. Attendees will participate in a mock U.S. Senate committee hearing designed to sharpen advocacy arguments and strengthen policy pitches.

The NCRA Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp provides participants with the foundation to become effective advocates for the profession. Attendees can also earn a total of 1.275 CEUs and 0.5 PDC while developing leadership skills they can bring back to their workplaces, state associations, and professional networks.
