Spring into action: Refresh your skills with NCRA’s March and April webinars

Have you been stuck inside all winter? Let us warm you up this spring with live webinars in the NCRA Learning center. Earn CEUs while you work on honing your skillset in both your professional and personal lives.

First up is Introduction to Building a Videography Kit, presented by Chuck Larson, CLVS, on March 4 at 7 p.m. Eastern (0.10 CEU). Larson is the owner of Larson Legal Video, based out of Lexington, Ky.

Larson will walk you through what to consider before purchasing equipment, including the services you plan to offer, industry trends, and why reliability and redundancy are essential. You’ll learn how to source gear wisely, avoid common pitfalls, and make smart investments in the components that matter most.

The webinar includes a live demonstration of a complete full-service setup showing connections, alternative options, and practical video chain examples. Bring your questions about legal video kits and leave with a detailed equipment list you can use as a starting point for your own build.

Next up, Mike Hensley, RDR, inaugurates NCRA’s StenoSpeaks webinar series with Amplified, Not Automatedon March 25 at 1 p.m. Eastern (0.10 CEU). Hensley will share how to balance technology, workflow tools, and your own expertise to perform at your best without over-relying on automation.

“Stenographers understand best what fellow stenographers need to hear, and Mike Hensley brings insight that truly delivers,” says NCRA President Cindy Isaacsen, RPR, who helped launch the series. “With CEUs available and many exceptional presenters ahead, we’re thrilled to feature Mike Hensley as our StenoSpeaks headliner.”

We are just getting warmed up. See what we’ve got lined up in April to help you get organized and get inspired.
