A first look at sessions for the 2026 NCRA Conference & Expo

NCRA is hard at work planning the 2026 NCRA Conference & Expo, and we’re excited to offer a first look at several sessions already on the schedule.

Below are some of the sessions in store. Be sure to mark your calendars for April 1 and bookmark our Conference registration page so you don’t miss the special presale. Everyone who registers between April 1–8 will save $100.

From skill-building workshops to practical business advice and insights from experienced professionals, this year’s program offers something for court reporters, captioners, and legal videographers at every stage of their careers.

Here’s a preview of what you can expect this year:

Presented by: Amy Doman, RDR, CRR, CRI

Looking to boost your writing to the next level, make your life easier, and enjoy the rewards of this fabulous profession a bit more? Daily practice is the secret sauce! In this session, you’ll hear recommendations for what to practice, how to practice, and why on earth anyone would practice outside of the time we spend working as full-time court reporters and students. Amy can’t wait to share the joy that “Becoming Devoted” to steno will bring to your world!

Presented by: Leah Willersdorf, RMR, CRR; Cathy Penniston, RPR, CRI; Koreen Perry, RPR, CRR, CRC; and Rochelle Hopkins, RPR, CRC

What you need to know to prepare your dictionary for foreign/international terminology, the types of jobs that require spellings and terminology not common in the U.S., and what it is like to work internationally.

Presented by: Myrina Kleinschmidt, RMR, CRR, CRC; and Sarah Kleinschmidt, CLVS

This session explores the shared responsibility reporters and videographers hold in protecting the integrity of the legal record in a rapidly changing deposition environment. Through real-world scenarios and practical guidance, attendees will examine role clarity, on- and off-record coordination, emerging technology, professionalism, and collaborative best practices that strengthen trust, accuracy, and confidence in modern depositions.

Presented by: Sue Garcia, RDR, CRR

Presented by: Burgundy (Brooke) Ryan; and Michelle Caldwell
