Members of the Louisiana Court Reporters Association are working to oppose bill HB188, introduced by state Rep. Nicholas Muscarello and set to be heard in front of the Judiciary Committee later this week, that would enact new a provision related to digital and remote court reporting. The association’s opposition states that, stating that the measure is effectively paving the way to remove certified court reporters from the courtroom.
