Keynote speaker announced
The presale is also your best shot at snagging a seat for a special viewing of the docu-comedy, “Rebel with a Clause,” featuring this year’s keynote speaker, Ellen Jovin, author and founder of the popular “Grammar Table.”
One day in 2018 Jovin set up a folding table and chair on a Manhattan sidewalk to field grammar questions from everyday New Yorkers. According to Jovin, people began stopping by almost instantly to share their stories and ask their questions. Before long she had developed a devoted social media following. Then, as her website puts it, “what happened next is the stuff of grammar legend.”
We are pleased to offer this special viewing as part of our Friday evening event during the Conference. Your ticket also gives you access to a wine and cheese reception following the movie. Bring your most frustrating grammar questions and get ready for a great time! Seating is limited, so get your ticket during the registration presale to save your seat.
You can purchase a ticket for the film when you register: $15 for members and $30 for nonmembers. You may also opt to buy a ticket for just the film viewing.
Conference registration giveaway:
The National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF) is pleased to announce that two Conference support opportunities are now open to help alleviate financial barriers for those wishing to attend this year’s event.
Applications are now being accepted for:
- The Christine Phipps Travel Award: up to 10 awards of $1,000 granted for first-time attendees
- The NCRF Student Conference Registration Scholarship: up to 10 free student registrations (a $320 value) awarded to student members
