Keep the connection going: Join upcoming Peer-to-Peer Support sessions

The conversations don’t end when a session does. In fact, for many NCRA members, that’s when the real impact begins. Members are relieved they can share experiences privately.

Following an impactful session last month, the National Court Reporters Foundation’s (NCRF) Peer-to-Peer Support program continues to build momentum, offering members ongoing opportunities to connect, share, and support one another throughout the year.

These sessions have become more than just meetings; they are a growing community. According to facilitator Bev Perez, MSW, that sense of connection is exactly what makes them so powerful.

“Seeing the connections made and the support given amongst peers is why I love facilitating these sessions,” Perez said. “There is so much power in community, let’s continue to grow it! If you have attended before, make sure to invite a friend to the next one. If you haven’t attended yet, mark your calendar and see you soon!”

A community that grows with you

Each Peer-to-Peer Support session offers a dedicated space for members to step away from the demands of the job and into a confidential, judgment-free environment. Whether participants choose to speak or simply listen, the experience is rooted in shared understanding.

Led by Perez, a certified peer and grief support facilitator and former police officer, the sessions are thoughtfully guided to ensure every attendee feels welcome and supported. Her experience working in high-stress environments helps shape meaningful conversations.
