Just a quick reminder that the clock is ticking! If you are a court reporting or captioning student testing at 60 wpm and above, you only have until Sept. 30 to apply for more than $15,000 in available scholarship money.
Applications for both the CASE Student Scholarships and the NCRF A to Z® Scholarships close at the end of the month.
- CASE Student Scholarships: Open to students enrolled in NCRA-approved court reporting programs. Five scholarships are available, led by the top $1,500 Sue Shelton White Scholarship, alongside awards of $250, $500, $750, and $1,000. For full requirements or to apply, visit the CASE Student Scholarships page or reach out to the Education Department at schools@ncra.org.
- NCRF A to Z Scholarships: Up to 15 students who have completed an NCRA A to Z® Intro to Steno Machine Shorthand program and earned a Certificate of Completion will receive $750 each. Looking ahead: Additional scholarships
Keep these upcoming deadlines on your radar:
- Stenograph Milton H. Wright Memorial Scholarship: Offered through the National Court Reporters Foundation in honor of Stenograph’s founder, this merit-based award is worth up to $5,000 in tuition and includes the use of a student writer and software. Deadline: Nov. 6.
- NCRF Student Intern Scholarship: Four $2,000 awards are given annually to high-achieving students who have wrapped up their internships and are gearing up to step into their professional careers. Deadline: Dec. 4.
