Fall scholarship application period closing soon

Several fall scholarship opportunities are closing in just a few short weeks. If you’re a student looking to fund your education, consider these scholarships and get your applications in soon!

There are just a few days left to get your applications for the CASE Student Scholarship submitted before the Oct. 16 deadline. If you’re a student enrolled in an NCRA-approved court reporting program, don’t miss this opportunity to win one of five scholarships available. The top prize of the $1,500 Sue Shelton White Scholarship is available as well as awards of $250, $500, $750 and $1,000.

For many students, CASE Student Scholarships provide vital support. Hear from 2026 recipient Taylor Elstrom, who shared how the scholarship was crucial to staying in school.

For full requirements or to apply, visit the CASE Student Scholarships page or reach out to the Education Department at schools@ncra.org.

There is still time to apply for two additional scholarships: the Stenograph Milton H. Wright Memorial Scholarship, and the NCRF Student Intern Scholarship. Both scholarship opportunities close later this fall.

  • Stenograph Milton H. Wright Memorial Scholarship: Offered through the National Court Reporters Foundation in honor of Stenograph’s founder, this merit-based award is worth up to $5,000 in tuition and includes the use of a student writer and software. Deadline: Nov. 6.
  • NCRF Student Intern Scholarship: Four $2,000 awards are given annually to high-achieving students who have wrapped up their internships in the past year and are gearing up to step into their professional careers. Deadline: Dec. 4.

These scholarships can help ease the financial demands of court reporting education and support students as they prepare to enter the profession. Review the eligibility requirements and submit your application soon!
