Attorneys seek temporary halt to recordings, worried conversations being heard

Attorneys working at the Monroe County Courthouse in Pennsylvania have sought a temporary halt to the use of a recording system in the courthouse, reports an article in the Pocono Record posted Nov. 19. The recording system was installed to avoid the cost of hiring a stenographer to transcribe proceedings. The attorneys fear that the recording system has captured private, constitutionally protected attorney-client conversations.
