Richard “Dick” Schmidt passed away on April 10, losing a short and courageous battle with cancer. Dick was an official court reporter for Winnebago County in Oshkosh for 40 years. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and respected him, both in the community as well as the entire 4th Judicial District.
He lived in Hubertus, Wis., until graduating and moving to Oshkosh where he was a court reporter for the Winnebago County Courthouse for nearly 40 years.
Dick is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathleen Weis. Together they had three children: Thomas Schmidt, Nathan Schmidt, and Jessica Meinen.
