Plaza College earns honorable mention for public relations campaign

Plaza College in Forest Hills, N.Y., recently earned an honorable mention in the Big Apple Awards for two news segments that aired promoting the profession during NCRA’s Court Reporting & Captioning Week.

The Big Apple Awards are given out by the New York Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America to honor communications teams from the area for excellence in a number of categories. The Plaza campaign received the honorable mention in Best Public Relations – Communications Campaign category for its “American Court Reporter Shortage” campaign.

“We designed the campaign with our public relations partner, Butler Associates, LLC, to increase the visibility of the court reporting profession within the Queens, New York City, and tri-state communities and are very proud of the recognition it has received,” said Charles E. Callahan, president of Plaza College. “Our team hopes to continue spreading the word on the profession through successful campaigns like this in the future,” he added.
