New LMS will offer better user experience

Beginning June, NCRA’s Professional Development Department will be moving its online offerings to a new learning management system (LMS) called Elevate, hosted by CommPartners, based in Columbia, Md. The move to a new vendor reflects NCRA’s commitment to delivering members high-quality educational offerings on the most up-to-date virtual learning platform available.

The Elevate LMS not only supports curriculum development, it also supports the informal sharing of knowledge, social learning, and live events.

“We are very excited about working with Elevate and very much anticipate that, as the product’s name implies, members will experience an even higher level of ease of use when accessing the platform, whether for learning new skills or earning the continuing education credits needed to maintain their professional certifications,” said Cynthia Bruce Andrews, M.S.Ed., NCRA’s Senior Director of Education and Certification.

“We conducted an intensive review of similar products offered by other vendors and determined that CommPartners’ Elevate platform offered by far the best features at the best value for developing and delivering educational offerings both prerecorded and live to our members,” she added.

Among the new platform’s features are the ability to enable, empower, and engage users with contextual learning opportunities that can be enriched by peer collaboration in a custom-designed layout to provide for a seamless user experience.

When the new platform goes live June 1, it will replace the InReach, Results Direct, and Moodle currently used by NCRA to offer educational curriculum such as webinar sessions and book and article tests.
