Celebrate Certification Month is the perfect time to make an investment in yourself by committing to earning a new certification. Be sure to share with your clients, potential customers, or anyone interested in a career in court reporting, captioning, or legal videography why NCRA professional certifications matter.

Like many of my colleagues, I’ve enjoyed a robust international practice. But that only happened because I had certifications to show my clients that I was capable of the tasks,” said NCRA President Jason T. Meadors, FAPR, RPR, CRR, CRC, a freelance court reporter and agency owner from Fort Collins, Colo.

Did you know that NCRA also helps celebrate its members earning certifications year round by issuing press releases on their behalf to their state and local media outlets, free of charge, announcing when a new certification has been obtained? The NCRA Communications Team issues newly certified members a customizable press release template they can complete and return, along with a headshot.
While there is no guarantee that the press releases will be picked up 100 percent of the time, many local newspapers do run them in their business sections. In addition, it is not uncommon for these press releases to generate feature articles that focus on members and their careers, further helping to promote the stenographic court reporting and captioning professions and the work of legal videographers.
