NCRF’s Legal Education Program turns reporters into brand ambassadors

On May 1, the legal community celebrated Law Day. NCRF has tools for court reporter brand ambassadors to present to attorney or public audiences about what constitutes Making the Record.

As noted on our Foundation’s page about our Legal Education Program: “NCRF’s Legal Education Program seminar, Making the Record, has received high praise. This seminar is designed to educate law students, young attorneys, and judges about the importance of making a good record. Seminar tools are provided to court reporters for free and are designed to be customized for the specific audience.”

The presentation tools for NCRF’s Making the Record are:

1. Presentation outline for the presenter.

2. PowerPoint on Making the Record, which is customizable for your audience.

3. Three handouts with a cover sheet to which you can add the event name, venue, and the date.

4. Evaluation form for attendees. Please send them back to NCRF, so that we can incorporate any comments for future editions.

Members who deliver this NCRF Legal Education/Making the Record presentation may apply for PDCs. Please take advantage of this Foundation toolbox. The Legal Education Presentation will help educate people about how to create the most intelligible record of proceedings for a judge, jury, and all legal audiences. Only our brand ambassadors can deliver this message. Networking about steno court reporting matters.

Our Foundation is always about doing what is best for court reporters, broadcast and CART captioners, and legal videographers. These legal education assets are just one of the many NCRF programs that help us help you.
