A video announcing the winner of a Mexican vacation was posted across NCRA’s social media accounts on Oct. 10, encouraging followers to watch to see who won. The annual giveaway was made possible thanks to the generosity of NCRF Angel Denise Paternoster who donated this getaway in honor of her late husband, Frank.
After some brief banter, Paternoster and NCRA Executive Director Dave Wenhold, CAE, PLC, made the joint announcement that NCRA member Nicole Hatler, a freelance court reporter based in the state of Texas, had won the Mexican vacation. Hatler was tagged by friends in the comment section on NCRA’s Facebook post, and colleagues turned out to offer their well wishes. “This is the craziest thing ever! I’ve never won anything,” Hatler commented.
NCRF oversees Oral Histories Programs for Veterans History, Legal Aid History, and Hard-of-Hearing Heroes. In addition, NCRF offers a recognition award, a VIP luncheon for Angel donors, scholarships and grants, and professional networking with like-minded court reporters and captioners.
