NCRA members are invited to share experiences and support one another in upcoming sessions on Sept. 25 and Nov. 13.
There is no doubt our profession is a rewarding one that has afforded many of our members with opportunities they may not have had in another line of work. However, it’s also true that along with the all the positives, there are sometimes challenging trials and depositions that can add tremendous stress to our lives.
The National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF) recognizes this and is proud to partner with NCRA President Cindy Isaacsen, RPR, an official from Shawnee, Kan., in providing an confidential online space, the Peer-to-Peer Support ZoomUp program, for NCRA members to convene, speak candidly, and offer emotional support to one another about the unique challenges they face.
“I feel that we need a safe space to connect and share with others who can understand the many challenges that we face daily,” says Isaacsen. “A peer support group is a great way to provide emotional support and offer strategies to help manage stress and anxiety and maintain mental health.”
The next event in our series is happening Sept. 25, at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.
NCRF’s Peer-to-Peer Support ZoomUps are available to all NCRA members and facilitated by certified peer support and grief expert Bev Perez, MSW.
