NCRA Boot Camp registration extended through Feb. 12 – Join the conversation in Washington

The 2026 NCRA Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp, set for March 1-3 in Alexandria, Va., and Washington, D.C., is not just a conference; it’s a rallying point for our Association and our members. The legislative framework currently being developed will either protect the role of stenographic professionals in the justice system or leave it vulnerable to displacement by unregulated Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.

Every day without court reporting representation in these crucial conversations is a day our professions’ interests go undefended.

“We cannot afford to hope someone else will speak up,” said Colin Brehm, NCRA’s State Government Relations Manager. “The decisions being made in Washington over the next several months will reverberate for decades.

“We need lawmakers who understand that replacing human court reporters with AI threatens not just livelihoods, but the concept of judicial integrity itself during these unprecedented times. Voice your concerns and influence policy directly with lawmakers who need to hear it from you,” Brehm added.

Registration for the 2026 NCRA Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp has been extended through February 12. The event offers two days of training and practice culminating in a whirlwind day of meetings with members of Congress and their staff on Capitol Hill.

JUST ADDED! See full daily agenda here.

What to Expect:

  • Intensive training: Gain skills and strategies to advocate for your profession in state legislatures and Congress.
  • Hands-on practice: Engage in real-life scenarios to hone your advocacy skills and network with passionate NCRA members.
