Time is running out to submit your nominations for the National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF) Carl Sauceda and Court to CART grants. The deadline to submit nominations for both grants is March 27. Don’t miss your opportunity to nominate friends and colleagues you think exemplify excellence in the field.
Carl Sauceda Grant
The Carl Sauceda Grant pays tribute to Carl Sauceda, FAPR, RMR (Ret.), of Hayward, Calif., who served as NCRA President from 1999 to 2000. Sauceda’s commitment to fostering professional growth and giving back to the community remains an enduring inspiration.

The $2,000 grant recognizes an NCRA member who has influenced rising court reporters or captioners in their careers and demonstrated continuous support to growing the stenographic professions.
Past winners have included Chris DeGrazio, a freelance reporter from Fort Pierce, Fla., for his volunteerism and mentorship; and Denee Vadell, RPR, an official court reporter from Edison, N.J., who runs the successful and ever-popular @Stenofluencer Instagram account.
