Got questions about professional captioning? Submit them to the captioning panel!

Whether you’re new to captioning, a seasoned professional, or somewhere in between, NCRA’s Captioning Committee wants to hear from you!

Join us at the NCRA Conference & Expo for The Elite Captioning Panel: A Discussion of Captioning/CART Jobs Generally Available and More moderated by Anna Cillo and featuring panelists Susie Galvan; Jo Gayle; RPR, CRR, CRC; Kelly Keyes-Linkowski, RPR, CRR, CRC, CRI, CPE; and Jamie Pellegrino, RPR, CRC.

To help shape this interactive discussion, we’re inviting attendees to submit questions in advance. And remember: Any question is a good question. If you’ve ever wondered about a topic but weren’t sure whether it was too basic, too specific, or too niche, we encourage you to ask. Chances are someone else has the same question.

Topics might include:

  • Setting up or improving your home office
  • The different types of captioning and CART jobs available
  • Finding captioning opportunities and clients
  • Building and maintaining dictionaries
  • Workflow tips and best practices
  • Career growth and professional development
  • Challenges you’ve encountered in the field

These are just a few ideas. The committee will welcome questions on any captioning-related topic you’d like the panel to discuss.

Please submit your questions in advance by emailing Captioning Committee Staff Liaison Colin Brehm by 5 p.m. Eastern, July 1, with the subject line “CapComm seminar question.”

Your questions will help guide the conversation and ensure the panel addresses the topics that matter most to captioners today.
