If you’re looking for a meaningful way to invest in the future of the court reporting and captioning professions, consider stepping into a rewarding role with the National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF). Nominations close April 3 for the NCRF Board of Trustees — an opportunity to help guide the Foundation’s mission and expand its impact across the profession and beyond.
From supporting student scholarships and early-career grants to advancing initiatives focused on wellness, professional development, and emergency relief, NCRF Trustees play a vital role in helping to strengthen the community. Their leadership helps ensure that reporters and captioners at every stage of their careers have access to resources they need to succeed.
Trustees initially serve a three-year term that begins at the NCRA Conference & Expo and collaborate closely with fellow volunteers and staff year-round. The role goes beyond attending meetings — it’s about contributing ideas, supporting fundraising efforts, and helping shape the direction of NCRF programs that make a real difference. An opportunity to re-apply formally for a second three-year term is available for dedicated Trustees.
Serving on the Board is also an opportunity to grow as a leader while building lasting relationships with peers who share a commitment to giving back. Trustees, who create a collaborative team, bring diverse perspectives and experiences, united by a shared goal: preserving and advancing these professions for generations to come through the NCRF mission.
Whether you’ve been involved with NCRF for years or are ready to take your first step into Foundation leadership, your voice and expertise are needed.
Submit your application by Saturday, April 3.
