For many NCRA members, keeping a dictionary up to date is part of the job. Merriam-Webster’s latest update offers a broader look at how language keeps changing, with 1,400 new words added this month, many shaped by social media and technology.
According to the New York Times, Gregory Barlow, Merriam-Webster’s president, declined to provide the complete list of words, but did note that no words were removed this year.
