The Stevens Point Journal recently posted an article online written by NCRA member Patricia A. Baker, Portage County, Wis., touting the role court reporters play in taking down the official record. Baker is the Portage County Clerk of Circuit Court, a former prosecutor, and a licensed attorney. The article appeared during NCRA’s 2014 National Court Reporting & Captioning Week held Feb. 16 – 22.
