Closed captioning law in effect statewide for Minnesota medical facilities

Effective Aug. 1, all televisions in medical facilities in Minnesota are required to have their closed captioning on, due to a law authorized by Minnesota Rep. Brian Daniels, according to an article posted on the Faribault News Aug. 3.The bill, which was signed into law on May 22, was an effort from Daniels to address an issue brought to his attention by the deaf community in Faribault.
