NCRF at the 2021 NCRA Conference & Expo

As you register for the NCRA conference, check out and plan to attend the National Court Reporters Foundation session on Friday, July 30, at 11 a.m.

NCRF: Career Launcher Program, Veterans History Project (VHP), and Ways to Give Back

Presenters: Debra A. Dibble, RDR, CRR, CRC, and Kerry Ward

Come and learn about two important programs offered by your foundation. By attending this session, participants will learn about NCRF’s new Career Launcher Program and the Veterans History Project. Participants will learn how court reporters can opt to support these two programs, earn professional development credit, and give back. Find out how you can make history through transcribing existing VHP interviews or interviewing veterans yourself. The Veterans History Project, led by the Library of Congress, collects and preserves the recollections of America’s veterans from World War I to present. By recording interviews with veterans and curating their memoirs, photographs, letters, and other historical documents, the VHP captures their important contributions and commemorates their valor. It is a meaningful way to share a veteran’s story. This presentation will increase participants’ understanding of oral history interviewing and techniques as well as the specifics of VHP guidelines so that interviews may be included in the archives at the Library of Congress. Learn more about the project before the training.
