The scholarship honors the memory of NCRA member Linda Breech, RPR (Ret.), a dedicated court reporter, business owner, and passionate advocate for court reporting, captioning, and legal videography who passed away in 2025.

“This scholarship honors Linda Breech’s legacy by helping a student gain the know-how to advocate for the court reporting, captioning, and legal videography professions,” said NCRA State Government Relations Manager Colin Brehm.

The inaugural winner of the Linda Breech Scholarship was Anna Sohn, a student from the Washington, D.C. metro area. Read about her experience attending the 2026 NCRA Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp.
