Powered by Partnership: NCRA A to Z Vendor Open House

By Lisa Dennison

Excitement was in the air last month as our Vendor Virtual Open House connected prospective students to industry partners.

Showing prospective students opportunities and offerings was a shared goal of both the September Open House for Schools and this Vendor Virtual Open House. Industry leaders who provide exclusive offers to those who complete the NCRA A to Z® Intro to Steno Machine Shorthand program were invited to share about their company at the Oct. 20 event.

Advantage Software, ProCAT, and Stenograph all attended.

“ProCAT is proud to be a longtime sponsor of the A to Z program, providing loaner machines and building awareness and entry into the court reporting profession,” said Deby Sebastian National Sales Manager for ProCAT.

At the event attendees had the chance to connect directly with vendor representatives to ask questions and learn about the tools shaping the future of stenographic reporting and captioning. The event fostered collaboration and strengthened relationships between industry partners and the future stenographic community.

“It’s always a pleasure to meet students making this important career choice and be part of their education journey, and we appreciate the opportunity,” said Megan McCroy, Senior Customer Care Manager at Stenograph. “Stenograph is proud to support NCRA, the A to Z program, and the industry at large.”

We would like to extend our thank-you to our three program partners for their attendance:

As the calendar comes to a close, the success of both open houses serves as a reminder that when everyone comes together, exciting opportunities emerge for the next generation of reporters.

NCRA is excited to present opportunities to grow the profession. If you know someone who would benefit from learning more about stenography, please share information about the NCRA A to Z Intro to Steno Machine Shorthand program with them. We are preparing for another record-breaking year in 2027!
