NCRF Natural Disaster Relief Fund recipient shares gratitude

The Trustees of the National Court Reporters Foundation established the Natural Disaster Relief Fund in October 2021 as a way to help support NCRA members during times of crisis. This relief fund was met with widespread NCRA member support.

Donations raised through the NCRF Natural Disaster Relief Fund help provide hardship relief to NCRA members in need who have been affected by natural disasters. Relief is in the form of financial assistance, and all donations made to the fund will be a tax write-off.

One recent fund recipient whose home suffered damage from Hurricane Idalia is finding rebuilding costs exceed what her family expected and did appreciate NCRF’s support.

“I’m very thankful for the assistance provided by the NCRF Disaster Relief Fund,” said the anonymous NCRA member. “We did not get enough from FEMA to help us rent a place to live while we rebuilt our house, so this helped to go towards finding a place to live for a couple of weeks. I appreciated the assistance during these times.”

If you are a member of NCRA and have been impacted by a natural disaster, you can apply for aid by completing the application here.
