How will you celebrate 2024 Court Reporting & Captioning Week?

NCRA wants to know how you will be celebrating 2024 Court Reporting & Captioning Week Feb. 3-11. The 2024 celebration marks NCRA’s 12th year observing this special week, and this year’s theme, 125 Years of Accuracy and Integrity, also celebrates the Association’s quasquicentennial.

For those wanting to get a jump start on celebrating, visit the 2024 Court Reporting & Captioning Week resources page, which is filling fast with new and updated promotional materials you can use to promote the profession throughout the year. The catalog of downloadable resources includes the 2024 official Court Reporting & Captioning Week logo, press release templates, social media tips, and more. Be sure to visit the page often as new items will continuously be added.

“Court Reporting & Captioning Week is the week-long stenography holiday!” said Denee Vadell, RPR, an official court reporter from Edison, N.J., and chair of NCRA’s Membership, Marketing, and Outreach Committee.

“This is the one week where we all come together to celebrate something we are all so passionate about, STENO. We get to do one of my absolute favorite things, which is to #spreadsteno. I encourage you all to do your small part in spreading steno during #CRCW2024,” added Vadell, who also serves on NCRA’s Brand Ambassadors Committee.

In addition to the resources NCRA provides members to help them celebrate, many of the Association’s committees also participate by offering free webinars, virtual get-togethers, and other activities. Watch the JCR Weekly for more information about those and other upcoming events.

As part of this year’s celebration, NCRA’s Communications team will also be distributing a series of press releases and media advisories that showcase the history of stenographic court reporting and how far the profession has come in conjunction with the Association’s 125th Anniversary. If you have a story you would like to share about the state of the profession and how far it has come, please send your ideas or articles to pr@ncra.org. And remember, please share with us how you plan to showcase the profession so that we can spread the celebration throughout the community.
