PAC, or Political Action Committee, might sound spooky, but it’s one of the most powerful tools we have to protect our profession. As your PAC Committee Co-Chairs, I’m here to help demystify it — and invite you to be part of something bold, strategic, and impactful.
So, what exactly is the NCRA PAC? It is an NCRA member-driven fund that supports lawmakers who understand and champion the work of court reporters and captioners. Through strategic contributions, we build relationships with decisionmakers who shape the policies that affect our livelihoods, our standards, and our future.
The PAC isn’t partisan — it’s professional. It’s how we ensure that our expertise is heard, respected, and protected.
Think of PAC as your advocacy insurance policy. You don’t have to be a lobbyist — just a believer in the future of our field. Whether you give $5 or $500, your donation helps us stay in the room and at the table where decisions are being made.
And trust us: if we’re not at the table, then we are on the menu, and someone else is ordering — and they may not have your best interests at heart.
So, this October, don’t be haunted by inaction — Support NCRA’s PAC!
