Continue on your path to leadership June 2

The second session in NCRA’s free five-part series on leadership development, which kicked off last week, is scheduled for June 2, 7:30-9 p.m. Eastern.

The June session, Your Growth Map: Mapping your path from ‘stuck’ to ‘flourishing, will focus on who you are becoming. Discussion will address how we are formed as well as the difference between nature, nurture, and choice.

Attendees will also learn more about specific leadership habits, mindsets, and people including mentors, friends, and the importance of being a mentee. Attendees will also learn to identify specific leadership strengths, such as special gifts, talent, and skills.

The objective of the series is to help NCRA members make the move from leadership uncertainty to empowerment by laying the framework of what a leader is, challenging participants in their individual growth, and encouraging members toward deeper engagement with Association work.

The sessions, which run through August and are being offered via Zoom, are led by Jesse Walker of Intentional Leader Coaching. Walker, who served as keynote speaker at NCRA’s 2026 Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp, is a leadership coach and consultant who helps people unlock their potential. Walker believes all people deserve to thrive in life and that everyone wins when leaders grow.

“You don’t need a need a fancy title to realize that how you show up matters, and you’re ready to start owning your influence,” Walker said. “If you’re tired of feeling like things are ‘happening to you’ and you want the tools to start making things ‘happen for you,’ then this leadership series is for you,” he added.

The cost to attend the sessions is free to NCRA members. Each session will also feature breakout rooms for discussion and team-building activities. The full schedule for this five-part series is below. Sessions will run from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Eastern.
