The National Court Reporters Association Political Action Committee (NCRA PAC) has achieved a fundraising record for the third consecutive year, highlighting the profession’s continued commitment to advancing policies that protect and strengthen the court reporting and captioning community.
In 2026, NCRA PAC raised $8,315.74, a 34.5 percent increase over 2025’s total of $6,182.60. The average contribution also increased by 9.5 percent, rising from $88.32 in 2025 to $96.69 in 2026, reflecting growing member engagement and support for the PAC’s mission.
“This year’s growth in contributions demonstrates rising engagement and strengthens our ability to advocate for the profession’s priorities on Capitol Hill,” said Colin Brehm, NCRA PAC Administrator and State Government Relations Manager for the Association.
Since its establishment in 1981, NCRA PAC has supported federal candidates who champion issues important to the court reporting, captioning, and legal videography professions.
“We’re organized, we’re energized, and with the generous donations from our members, we’re ensuring that lawmakers understand the power and precision of certified stenographic professionals,” said Darlene Devlin, NCRA PAC Co-Chair and New York official reporter. “Our momentum is already helping advance critical AI legislation through Congress.”
NCRA thanks every 2026 contributor whose support made this milestone possible. These investments help the Association continue building relationships with policymakers and advancing legislation that supports the future of the profession.
