Registration is open for the inaugural NCRA State Leadership Summit (SLS), taking place Oct. 23-25 at the Loews Kansas City Hotel in Kansas City, Mo. State association leaders from across the country are encouraged to register early, as attendance is limited to a maximum of 80 participants. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and will close once capacity is reached or on Oct. 2, whichever comes first.
NCRA Executive Director Dave Wenhold, CAE, PLC, in collaboration with Association President Cathy Penniston, M.A., RPR, CRI, and Immediate Past President Cindy Isaacsen, RPR, designed an agenda that will address many of the challenges and opportunities facing state associations, including strategic planning, association finances, board governance, membership growth, conference planning, social media, advocacy, and leadership development. NCRA members who complete the Summit can earn a total of 1.1 CEUs.
Registration is $199 for both NCRA members and nonmembers. Associations that send three representatives can take advantage of a reduced $150 registration rate for the third attendee from the same state.
Attendees who complete the SLS will also qualify for the opportunity to win one workshop registration at the 2027 NCRA Conference & Expo, scheduled for Aug. 5-7, 2027, at the Loews Kansas City Hotel in Kansas City, Mo., as well as one registration for the 2027 NCRA Leadership & Legislative Boot Camp, scheduled for March 14-16, 2027, at the Grand Hyatt Washington in Washington, D.C. The new Boot Camp venue is just blocks from Capitol Hill.
