Students Starting Strong: A conversation with the President

Please join NCRA President Cathy Penniston, M.A., RPR, CRI, and friends for a special, free webinar designed to give students the tips they need to start their school year strong.

The Students Starting Strong webinar is being held Sept. 16 from 7- 8 p.m. Eastern. The agenda includes Penniston sharing tips and inspiration with students to help motivate them on their journey to becoming working professionals and staying strong throughout the year.

Joining Penniston will be Chair of NCRA’s Student/Teacher Committee Margary Rogers, RPR, CRI, a CART captioner and freelance court reporter from Washington, D.C., who will be offering a number of good study habits for students to consider adopting to help them achieve their goals and success.

Attendees will also hear from Brenda Kennedy, an El Paso, Texas-based movement specialist, Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), and 500-hour certified Pilates instructor, who will lead a 20-minute session focused on practical breathwork, desk-friendly shoulder openers, and targeted relief for the hands, wrists, and fingers.

The goal of the session is to offer tools student can use to feel reset, tension-free, and more comfortable in their bodies. As a bone cancer survivor who rebuilt her strength after six major surgeries, Kennedy specializes in adapting movement to fit real bodies and high-demand daily routines.

There will also be giveaways that include student memberships, practice speed material, and more. The webinar will wrap up with a Q&A.
