Successful 2025 fundraising raffles boost NCRF’s mission

The National Court Reporters Foundation’s 2025 fundraising raffles delivered a powerful boost to NCRF’s financial resources, thanks to the generosity of our donors. Three successful raffles, culminating in winner drawings at this year’s NCRA Membership Recognition Gala in Minneapolis, along with the addition of 14 new Angel donors, will help NCRF continue its mission of awarding scholarships, grants, and natural disaster relief.

Stenograph NexGen Writer Raffle

Stenograph again generously donated a new NexGen writer, valued at nearly $6,000, making it the year’s top-grossing raffle. Nearly 300 tickets were sold, highlighting the strong demand for Stenograph’s latest model. Stenograph associates hosted the online “Wheel of Names” drawing, awarding the prize to winner Ashley Shimers.

Purple Reign Gift Basket Raffle

The Angel Gatherers Committee, led by Co-Chair Sandy Narup, RPR, of Apopka, Fla., created a Minneapolis crowd favorite — the Purple Reign Gift Basket Raffle — in tribute to Prince’s hometown. The basket featured Prince memorabilia and records, a sparkling necklace, two $100 Amazon gift cards, wine, Steno swag wine coolers and thermal mugs, a Steno T-shirt, and more, with total value exceeding $700. Ryan White, RMR, CRR, of Happy Valley, Ore., was the lucky winner of the basket.

Clutch for a Cause

For the fourth consecutive year, NCRF’s Clutch for a Cause raised significant funds. This year’s prize — a sophisticated Veronica Beard croc-embossed crest lock handbag, valued at about $600 — was spearheaded by Early Langley, RMR, with contributions from Tami Keenan, FAPR, RPR, CPE, and Jill Parker Landsman, NCRF Manager. The winner, new NCRF Trustee Yolanda Walton, FAPR, RPR, of Norwalk, Ohio, was thrilled at the announcement

More Than Just Raffles

NCRF raffles are more than fun prize drawings, they are a strategic way to engage new donors, strengthen connections, and inspire ongoing support. Because winners need not be present to win, participation extends far beyond event attendees. Every ticket purchased fuels NCRF’s ability to provide scholarships, grants, and critical assistance to members affected by natural disasters.
