Registration closes April 24 for the upcoming Certified Legal Video Specialist (CLVS) Production Exam, taking place May 1–2 at NCRA headquarters in Reston, Va.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your legal videography career, this exam is a critical part of the CLVS credentialing process.
The Production Exam requires candidates to demonstrate their ability to produce a high-quality video of a staged deposition while following established video deposition guidelines. Registration for the exam closes April 24.
Candidates must complete the mandatory CLVS Certification Education, available in the NCRA Learning Center, before sitting for the Production Exam.
If you’re taking the May exam, you may also register for the optional Hands-on Training held Thursday afternoon, April 30. This interactive session allows candidates to participate in a mock deposition and work with equipment like what will be used during testing.
A third step in the process is to take and pass the CLVS Written Knowledge Test (WKT). Candidates must complete the mandatory CLVS Certification Education online first, as questions on the exam are developed from the educational materials provided. Registration for the next WKT testing period will be open June 1-June 20 for testing in July. Find more information and additional testing here.
The CLVS Production Exam and Hands-on Training are offered twice a year, in spring and fall. For cost details, registration links, and information about the CLVS Written Knowledge Test, visit NCRA.org/CLVS.
