NCRF welcomes two new Trustees

The National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF), the philanthropic arm of the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA), announced that Amy Nixon Doman, RDR, CRR, CRI, from Carmel, Ind., and Yvette Heinze, RPR, from Helena, Mont., have each been selected to serve a three-year term on its Board of Trustees. The announcement was made at the 2026 NCRA Conference & Expo that took place July 16-18 in Bellevue, Wash.

Amy Doman

Doman holds the nationally recognized professional certifications of Registered Diplomate Reporter (RDR), Certified Realtime Reporter (CRR), and Certified Reporting Instructor (CRI). She has worked as a court reporter for 35 years, and is also certified to work in Missouri, California, Illinois, Texas, and Washington state. Doman is the owner of Doman Reporting.

At the national level, Doman has served on a number of NCRA committees including the NCRA A to Z®; Technology; Member, Marketing & Outreach; Written Knowledge; and Nominating Committees. She has also served on the Association’s REAL Task Force and currently serves on its Test Advisory Committee.

Heinze holds the nationally recognized professional certification of Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) and has worked as a court reporter since 1996. During her career, she has served as a freelance court reporter, an official court reporter, a captioner, and a CART captioner. She is currently an official court reporter for the Federal District Court, Great Falls Division in Montana.

Yvette Heinze

At the national level, Heinze has served on a number of NCRA committees including the Professional Ethics and Education Content Committees. She currently serves on the DE&I Task Force and as the Western Regional Representative for the National Congress of State Associations (NCSA). She has also attended numerous NCRA Leadership & Legislative Boot Camps held in Washington, D.C.

At the state level, Heinze is a member of the Montana Court Reporters Association (MTCRA) and has served in a number of leadership roles including as President from 2017-2019. She has also served on a number of the organization’s committees including its Officials Committee, and as chair of its Convention Committee in 2014. She currently serves on MTCRA’s Student Outreach Committee and as its Facebook and website manager.

Heinze is a current member of the U.S. Court Reporters Association, and a past member of the Deposition Reporters Association (Calif.), the California Court Reporters Association, and the North Carolina Court Reporters Association.
