School posts video explaining court reporting career

The New York Career Institute, based in New York City, posted a video explaining what court reporters do. The video mentions that court reporters provide verbatim records of testimony, speeches, conversations, legal procedures, and other events. In addition, the video notes that court reporters also take down the words of lawmakers in Congress, as well as provide live captioning of events and television broadcasts for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
