Face-to-face with schools and vendors: NCRA hosts 5th Virtual Open House

NCRA partnered with both vendors and school programs to host its fifth Virtual Open House last month to educate prospective court reporting and captioning students on their education options. More than 60 participants attended, including several past and current participants of the NCRA A to Z® Intro to Steno Machine Shorthand program. Attendee MaryBeth Bozogian expressed that it was “a very organized event” and that she “loved having the opportunity to speak with different schools face-to-face.”

The evening began with introductory sessions by NCRA A to Z program partners ProCAT, Advantage Software, and Stenograph. Each vendor has exclusive opportunities for those who complete the program, along with many options to meet the needs of both students and working reporters and captioners. The introduction was followed by breakout sessions, each hosted by one of the participating schools, providing space to ask questions directly to those who offer education opportunities. Each school shared what makes them best suited to help participants evaluate their options.
