Support NCRA’s PAC at the Gift Basket Extravaganza

NCRA’s Political Action Committee (PAC) works diligently on Capitol Hill and beyond to protect the interests of the court reporting, captioning, and legal videography professions. If you are planning to attend the 2023 NCRA Conference & Expo being held July 27-30 at the Hyatt Regency Houston Downtown in Houston, Texas, you can help support PAC by taking a chance in the Gift Basket Extravaganza raffle.

Conference attendees who contribute to NCRA’s PAC will receive physical raffle tickets based on the amount of their contribution. After contributing and receiving their raffle tickets, NCRA PAC contributors will place their raffle tickets in the basket(s) that they wish to win. You must be an NCRA member to contribute to NCRA’s PAC, and you must be physically present to win. The following ticket prices are available:

  • 10 Tickets for a $20 contribution
  • 25 Tickets for a $50 contribution
  • 50 Tickets for a $100 contribution
  • 120 Tickets for a $200 contribution

Only debit and credit cards or checks will be accepted, no cash.

Come by the PAC booth near the registration desk to see the gift baskets on display. Past gift baskets have included fresh blue crabs from the Maryland Court Reporters Association and wine and sports memorabilia from the California Court Reporters Association.

Only NCRA members physically present at the Conference can contribute to the NCRA PAC raffle. The raffle will take place on Saturday, July 29 during the last coffee break. Contributors must be present to win and will have the opportunity to win multiple prizes.

The primary focus of NCRA’s PAC is to develop and nurture legislative relationships that will work in the interest of the Association’s legislative agenda by electing and re-electing friends of NCRA to Congress; articulating NCRA’s legislative issues to policymakers on Capitol Hill; and cultivating relationships on Capitol Hill that will work to the benefit of court reporters, captioners, legal videographers, scopists, and associated legal professionals. To meet these objectives, NCRA’s PAC contributes to the campaigns of congressional candidates who have shown their support for the court reporting, captioning, and legal videography professions, and the legislative issues of NCRA. It is through these contributions that NCRA’s PAC gains access to voice its interests and concerns to those individuals who are in a position to make a difference for the benefit of the professions.
